How to Use Our Free Lottery Number Generator (And Why It's Different)

Most lottery number generators do exactly one thing: spit out a random set of numbers. Ours does that too, but it also gives you real control over how those numbers get chosen, and a way to build a ticket the same way you would at the counter — number by number, on a tappable play slip instead of a plain text box.

Start with the play slip

Instead of typing numbers into a form, our generator uses a tap-to-select grid modeled on an actual paper play slip. Tap any numbers you already want to play, and they're locked in — the tool fills in the rest around them. There's no way to accidentally pick the same number twice, since the grid simply won't let you select an already-locked number again.

Choose how the rest get picked

Once your locked numbers are set, you choose how the remaining slots get filled. Custom Mix — the default — lets you decide exactly how many of the remaining numbers should come from hot numbers (frequently drawn), cold numbers (rarely drawn), overdue numbers (longest gap since last appearing), or pure random selection, all in the same ticket. Prefer something simpler? Switch to Weighted by Frequency mode, where every number's chance of being picked is proportional to how often it's actually appeared in the draws you're analyzing.

The bonus ball (Powerball or Mega Ball) gets its own independent source selector, so you can mix, say, a hot main-number strategy with an overdue bonus ball — or lock the bonus ball yourself if you already have one in mind.

Every pick explains itself

Each generated number comes with a plain-English tag explaining exactly why it was picked — 'drawn 14 times in the analyzed draws,' 'not seen in the last 22+ draws,' or simply 'randomly generated.' Nothing is a black box. You can see precisely how your ticket was built, number by number.

Build a cart, then share the whole thing

You're not limited to one ticket at a time. Generate as many picks as you want across both games, and they collect in a picks cart you can review together. When you're ready, the whole cart can be turned into a single shareable link — handy for a group of coworkers pooling on a ticket, or just texting your numbers to yourself before you head to the store.

As with every tool on this site, none of this changes the underlying odds of any drawing — every valid combination has the same chance of winning regardless of how it was chosen. What the generator changes is how much control and transparency you have while building your ticket, and how easy it is to share the result.
